Initiative: n/a Digitalization of the clinical trial system

The project vision is to create an optimal (digital) experience for all clinical trial participants before, during and after a clinical trial. Being one of the first to produce the Covid-19 vaccine, the lesson was learned and the approach was for the practice to be adopted across the company and used to accelerate the whole clinical trial process regardless of the drug in production. 

The solution consists of a web portal/platform and mobile app for caregivers and patients, a web portal/platform for investigators as well as a digital web platform/portal for clinical research associates during clinical trials.

The aim of the platform: Improved experience of participants , Simplified administration to clinical trials, Increased number of  participants, accelerated management of events, Increased process quality, significantly improved distributed data collection.

Backend: Java, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, Kafka, MongoDB, Grafana, ELK, Python

Frontend: Angular, React, React Native.

QA:  Java/Cucumber, Cypress, BrowserStack, Postman, Insomnia, XRay

DevOPs and Cloud: AWS, Azure DevOps, BitBucket, Jira, Python, Docker, Kubernetes, Linux

Team: 250+  team members involved in development of the platform including PM, testers, translators, technical writers, organized in squads consisting of 5-9 members and product owners.

Project Management: Agile Scrum, Two week Sprints.

IGA Team Extension/Competence Team: Our engagement started as a team extension with two(2) Senior Technical Consultants – Software Engineering participating in one of the squads developing different Back-End functionalities with above mentioned technology stack with focus on Java. As the trust grew we added two additional team members Senior Technical Consultants – Quality Assurance and Senior Technical Consultants – DevOps led by client-side Product Owner acting as a competent team.
